Cocuchas Pottery is handmade by the villagers of a small
town in the mountains of Michoacan, using an ancient African
process brought to the natives by Spanish missionaries. Each
piece is unique, varying in exact dimensions and coloring
according to the conditions and materials as well as the technique
of the artist who forms each individual pot.
